Surface Regularity
Surface regularity is an important quality of a screed or floor surface, which is often described as a measure of waviness of the surface. For normal accuracy floors, it is defined as the limitation of deviation of the surface beneath a straightedge laid flat on the surface.
The Process
- The floor/surface in question is scanned with high accuracy and detail.
- Once the data has been brought back to the office, a point on the surface is selected and, using specialised software, the height deviation above and below that point is calculated.
- A heatmap is produced, indicating the areas that show excessive deviation from the given level.
